By Mohamed Ramdani (issue: 10/04/2013)
Eco: What is the range of trainings offered by the Multidisciplinary faculty/ElJadida and what is your policy in the choice of these courses?
Abdelaziz Chafik: since its creation, the faculty adopts as a strategy the focus on professional Bachelors designed to take into consideration the national, economic, sectorial strategies of development namely the emergency plan, the global sectors of Morocco, the development of the tourism sector ahead of 2020, the development of logistics and the plan of green Morocco. In the beginning, we started with an undergraduate program “economics and management sciences”, and then we created eight professional bachelors and four specialized Masters, offered in initial and continuing education. These programs have strong attractiveness and withdraw a remarkable high demand manifested through the applications from different regions of Morocco. Currently and after eight years of existence, 1.300 students are enrolled. 1.000 students are enrolled in undergraduate programs and 300 students in continuing education. The faculty has a professorial staff composed of fifteen permanent professors and collaborates with many professionals of the socio-economic sectors. Moreover, we have between 20 to 25 international experts coming from different French and Belgian universities. |

The degree of the insertion of the Multidisciplinary faculty/ ElJadida laureates reaches 85% and the strategic sector of tourism is to be reinforced by the introduction of new trainings.
Published: 17/01/2012
T he implementation of the new reform of the university, to which all Moroccan universities have adhered, gives the universities autonomy in their pedagogic, administrative, and financial management. At the pedagogical level and through this reform, the university is granted the right of proposal which allows it to establish new disciplines perfectly suited to the skills needed and generated by development projects in local, regional, national, and international levels. In addition, this new system offers the possibility of abandoning disciplines which no longer meet the needs expressed by the job market, thereby permanently adjust the training needs to priority skills required by the imperatives of development, says Professor Abdelaziz Chafik, Dean of the Multidisciplinary Faculty of Chouaib Doukkali University El Jadida.
